The Flames are riding high on a 7 game winning streak that sees them firmly planted in the first Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. What has changed for the Flames to pull off this streak and what do the Flames need to do to keep it alive? How does the team bounce back after they eventually lose? As the Flames wind down for the bye week we look back at the last week of Flames hockey and debate if the Flames are back on track after a rough end of January. We also continue our series looking at the Flames UFA situation – this time in net and wonder if Scott Darling should be the Flames best UFA acquisition. Is it time for the Flames to change their Goaltending Coach? Goalies seem to decline or stay stagnant under Jordan Sigalet – is it time we find someone else to work with the next crop of goalies?

After an amazing Flames win over the Chicago Blackhawks, we have a lot of positive things to talk about. We’ll look back on the Flames records from previous Octobers and realize they’re not doing so bad, and at the historical data of how other teams have done with a new coach – we’re in the same boat. Not only are the Flames doing well, so are the Stockton Heat! We’ll profile who’s looking good in the AHL and who’s making a case for a promotion – as well as our optimistic look ahead at the next week of games.
