The Calgary Flames have clinched the #1 spot in the Pacific Division and home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. With only three games left in the season, the guys revisit who they want the Flames to play in round 1 – the Nashville Predators or the Dallas Stars and which Calgary Flames depth player could be the x-factor for the team in the playoffs. The guys also discuss if the Flames are utilizing their middle 6 forwards in the most ideal lines or if changes need to be made before the playoffs. And we end the show by answering two fan questions.

We start the show with a look back at the second round series against the Ducks, and compare and contrast the two teams and how they are built – and why the Flames fell so easily. With the help of our guest Kevin Olenick of Agree or Disagree: The Podcast, we recap the 2014-2015 season as a whole including looking back at some of our predictions for this year to see how well we predicted the season, and we do an in-depth break down of this year’s team by position and discuss where they need to improve, and what we expect the Flames to do in the off-season including our thoughts on UFAs we’d like to see here.

In this week’s episode we recap the first three games of the second round series, looking at the highs and lows the Flames have experienced so far. We’ll look at each of the games so far in this series, and dig deep into game three at the Saddledome. We discuss the Sam Bennett goal in Game 3 that the league disallowed and if we think it was “in” or “out”, its similarities to Gelinas’ goal in 2004 and what the league needs to improve to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We also end the show with a nod to Bob Hartley’s Jack Adams Award nomination.

The Flames beat the Canucks and now they’re heading to Anaheim to start the semi-final round against the Anaheim Ducks. This week’s episode breaks down the last 3 games of the Flames/Canucks series and what the keys to success were for the Flames, the series MVP, and our personal experiences being part of the C of Red in the Saddledome and the Red Mile after game six. We also look ahead to the Calgary/Anaheim series and what it’ll take for the Flames to win the series against the Ducks, and our predictions for the series.
